Bi-Weekly Overview:

• Robert’s Rd to I-540: Installed guardrail, backed shoulders, removed sediment basins
• Green Level West to I-540: Completed diamond grinding lane 1 Northbound
  
• Carpenter Fire Station: Installed storm drainage, placed and graded ABC
  
• Green Level West: Placed asphalt, graded for curb and gutter, placed median islands
  
• Jenks Rd to Roberts Rd: Continued excavation of mainline, installed underdrains, installed storm drain
  
• Kelly Rd: Placed embankment
  
• US 64: Paved asphalt on EB, installed guardrail on WB
  
• Olive Chapel to US 64: Paved asphalt loops B and C
  
• Beaver Creek Commons: Placed base asphalt
  
• Apex BBQ to Beaver Creek Bridge: Placed expressway gutter. Finished mainline PCCP handpour to tie into Site 11 Bridge
  
• Old US 1 to Apex BBQ: Poured aprons on drop inlets
  
• US 1 to Old US 1: Began fine grading southbound lanes
  
• US 1: Excavating tie-ins of ramp B
  
• Station 121+00 to US 1: Placed embankment, excavated permanent ditches, began rough grading
  
• Hwy 55 Bypass to Old Holly Springs Rd: Completed excavation, installed storm drain
  
• Beginning of Project to Hwy 55 Bypass: Installed storm drainage, drill and blasted rock, placed embankment

 

STRUCTURES
(Update posted February 2, 2012)

Lighting

• BBH is installing conduit for roadway lighting on the north end at NC55.
• BBH is installing complete with conduit for lighting north at Green Level West.
  

ITS – ORT

• TCD completed the bore at White Oak Creek and will begin the bore at Nancy Branch this week.
• PEC contractor completed conduit installation to POD’s 10, 11, 12, 12A & 16, to ORT Site 5 and will begin pulling wire this week.
  
• ORT 5 Building pad complete and building will be delivered the week of 2/13/12.
  
• ORT 5 gantry columns are in progress.
  

Bridges Overview

• Site #15 Kelly Rd – Drove H-pile Bent #1 20 EA.
• Site #13 Beaver Creek Commons – Slipped bridge barrier wall and drilled holes for 2 bar rail.
  
• Site #12 Olive Chapel Rd. over WWF – Poured bridge deck Span B and Diaphragms.
  
• Site #10 Apex Barbeque – End Bent #1 & #2 MSE walls are in progress. Bent #1 Cap has been formed, poured and stripped. End
  
• Bent #1 Cap and Backwall has been formed and poured.
  
• Site #9 Old US1 - End Bent #2 MSE wall is in progress. End Bent #2 Cap is in progress. H-Piles at End Bent #1 have been driven.
  
• Site #8 CSX - End Bent #2 Damproofing / Waterproofing is in progress. End Bent #1 Backfill Abutment is in progress. End Bent #2
• Backfill Abutment is in progress. Set Span A structural steel girders.
